Einstein's explaination for gravity basicly goes: gravity travels at speed of light as its speed, for speed of light is the universal speed limit for everything and anything. In addition, gravity travels in wave form called gravitational waves.
His explaination and his fans form more contradictions with nature than the explaination written/contained in this writing. Such investigation of nature, the fundamentalis of things would inevitable be a philosophical question one of some sort at the least. Any true investigation into the most origin, into the deepest matter, seeking the most original answer would be an act of chasing down the original "cause" of all cause and effects. As we know, an effect has a cause, and each cause is in effect also an effect. All causes are in reality effects so does the reverse hold true. Only during the specific vision/view point/reference angle applied, does certain become more so an effect, while other ones, its cause. So to find the original cause of all cause and effects would be the question what Einstein had been seeking, and that of many physicists and philosophers. These types of questions are a strict physics-philosophy one - a mathematical answer would not suffice as nature is not direct nor 1 way, but rather it's everyway, yet noway - abstract ideas will work much more effectively than mathematical approaches in addressing these matters.
To explain gravity, one would have to give an explaination, supposedly we go along Einstein's mentality. So once we do find the golden answer, supposedly, what happens afterwards? Since an answer can lead to further questions and similar-in-essence as an effect is always another cause, one will never arrive at a point of the final answer. Perhaps, there is simply no answer, and that's the answer - for very simply as stated earlier, and can be observed and found in nature very often keenly, a null answer is an answer, and probably the actual answer for the long thought philosophical question on the origin of gravity and the mechanisms of it and so on and its neighboring questions. Every question inquiry into about the deepest fundamentals of universe inevitably are of the same question stated in different ways andor from different approach angles. The answer to all things, my personal findings is that they answer each other out - and that's the answer. We could also say that no-answer is the answer to gravity. My findings had been that the 1/d^2 correlates with the digits of pi (details undisclosed), eyesight view, phenomenom of angles an dimensions, and many other fundamental interesting stuff associated with math, nature and all.
Thus, the conclusion about speed of gravity can be drawn: a "explaination" is not needed to reason, explain to, justify, prove gravity, for no explaination is needed. Any explaination other than the versions of that single answer (which is the all answer) would be incorrect. The explaination for gravity being traveller on fabric of space-time also contridicts with the concept of infinity. In addition to that, nothing is arbitrary, if speed of light is really that magical permanent, fixed, constant number, then perhaps its digits implies and holds significant meaning and pointings - so far, doesn't seem like it.

Main Points (can be drawn from the above statements, key points)
- gravity travels at infinite speed
- speed of light is a variable
- gravity does not get restricted by speed of light limit
- gravitational waves do not exist in the real world (non hallucination world; fantasy world)
- matters naturally come together
- there exists no reason for anything, for no reason is still a reason
- zero is a number
- nothing is something
- no cause is the cause
- and that's the universe~
